The Gunung Jerai landscape.

Gunung Jerai is a highland with it peak  1,217 meters that has its own legend and mystical. Nonetheless, the same mountain is also plays its role as a tourist spot and heaven for nature explorer. In fact, for those who loves landscape photography  the Gunung Jerai would be the best place to capture beautiful landscape.

The landscape of Gunung Jerai...

Therefore, the photo below is a photo that was captured from Gurun a landscape that featuring Gunung Jerai. Another photo would be the landscape of a wall rock that I captured from Titi Hayun featuring the rock formation of the Puteri Mandi Waterfall. Furthermore, other than as a tourist spot and heaven for nature explorers another interesting about Gunung Jerai would be the rock formations that was formed particularly only in this mountain called the Jerai Formation.

Hence, the earlier research related to research on rock formation in Gunung Jerai was conducted by Bradford in 1972. Based on the research the rock formation of Gunung Jerai was identified into two parts which is the above formations was  kuartza and the bottom would be syis. Furthermore, the main rock that forming this mountain would be granite and medisediment. It is also believe that the Gunung Jerai was formerly an island called Pulau Serai that was mentioned in the legend of King Merong Mahawangsa and later was confirmed with the findings of shell’s fosil  that was found from a village at Singkir Laut proves that the area once was covered in water.

Hence, exploring the nature is a way for us to be aware of our own surrounding. Utilizing and appreciating the sources that we have for a better life in the future.
